How to ship

For quality quilting service, please follow the setup guidelines below:

·         For best results, be sure all seams and stitches are secure. Please correct wavy or ruffled borders as they cannot usually be quilted out. Square your quilt top. It is a good idea to stay stitch ¼” all around the edge of the border to help keep your quilt square.

·         Trim all excess or loose threads. Your quilt should not be basted, pinned, or tacked together.  Please mark the “Top” of your quilt by pinning a small piece of paper to the top end. Also mark the back if it has a preferred top.

·         Quilt batting and backing (if provided) must be at least of 6 to 8 inches larger than your quilt (3 to 4 inches each side) after they have been squared with straight edges.

·         Please iron/press your quilt top and fold carefully to avoid wrinkles.

·         If you like, Include a photo or drawing of the type quilting you would like.

·         Enclose the order form with your quilt. Make sure you have read and understand the information and followed the instructions.   If you have not talked with us prior to shipping your quilt, we will contact you when it is received to be sure your needs are understood.

·         Please insure your quilt if it is being shipped.

·         Please enclose your quilt top in plastic to avoid any possible water damage during shipping. It is not a good idea to mark “Quilt “ on the outside of the package as it can invite theft.

·         Rush requests will be accommodated whenever possible.

·         Print and complete the Order form and include in your package.

A beautiful Log Cabin Quilt called “Rose Trellace” which is for sale here.

This quilt top was made over fifty years ago using old clothing dating back for a much longer time. We recently added a cotton batting and muslin backing and quilted it for a family here in Georgia.
